People love Danny Miller. He’s a very popular member of the Emmerdale cast and been involved in some gripping scenes. But he’s come in for a bit of a telling off after he appeared to make a rude hand gesture live on TV! [Scroll down for video]
Mr Miller was appearing on Friday’s episode of Loose Women to talk about the dramatic car crash that happened on Emmerdale on Thursday.
The Loose Women show was being trailed, live, by This Morning presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford. It showed Danny sitting there with Andrea McLean, Stacey Solomon, Linda Robson and Kaye Adams.
Stacey was talking about Danny appearing on the show when Keith Lemon appeared in front of the camera.
“It’s me, me, I’m on,” he declared.
Danny wasn’t very impressed by the way Keith was behaving and seemed to make his feelings visible. He could be seen lifting his hand so it could be seen over Keith’s head, clenched his fist and moved it about in a very rude gesture that everyone could see!
There was no denying what he was intending but social media went mad with comments on what they had seen.
One person said: @What did Danny Miller just do?”
Another jokingly said: “Naughty Danny Miller”
Another added: “Sure Danny Miller gave Keith Lemon a certain rude sign! Love it!”
Not everyone watching was impressed by what they saw though. There were plenty of complaints to the official This Morning account to complain that what they saw Danny do was “not appropriate”
Danny has responded to the controversy though.
He went on Twitter to explain the whole thing was scripted and he was actually signalling for Keith to get away from the cameras.
Danny has been on Celebrity Juice with Keith Lemon quite a few times so they actually know each other well and share a similar sense of humour.
“Ha! FINALLY get why people think I was being rude this morning. THAT [gesture] was ‘get off the stage Keith’ & you’ll find THAT was part of the script & the show. THAT was the idea of Keith being on the show. Popping up everywhere? Wow people! I love [Keith Lemon] so chill.”
He didn’t see content on leaving it there with his response as he replied to some other tweets sent to him.
He told one fellow Twitter user: “I wouldn’t do that on daytime television? Celeb juice yeah. But I was told to joke around and clear him off the stage. If the shot was tight enough you’d see my thumb pointing him to the stage exit to my right.”
He also added this: “Watched it back and I got the mix up but I wouldn’t do that, mate. Ha! My Mum watches that show. I just wouldn’t. But I can understand the confusion.”
All this hasn’t detracted from the fact Danny is very popular with Emmerdale fans.
He’s won peoples hearts with the way he has played Aaron Dingle in the soap and here’s a bit more info on him.
Danny Miller is from Stockport and is probably best known for playing Aaron Dingle in Emmerdale.
He first appeared on our screens in Grange Hill, playing Kyle Brown. A year after that he made his debut on Emmerdale but he left in 2012. He returned to the show again in 2014.
While he was away he starred in an ITV drama called Lightfields which was 2013. In 2014 he appeared as William in Jamaica Inn.
Also in 2013 and 2014 he appeared as Sgt Rob Waddington in the popular programme Scott and Bailey.
Aaron Dingle is the son of Chas Dingle (played by Lucy Pargeter) and Gordon Livesy (Gary Mavers). He’s had some brilliant story lines in the the soap and played them really well.
His first appearance was when he was arrested for possession of drugs by Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) cousin Ross (Samuel Anderson)
When he ran away from home and went to Gordon Livesy’s house but when Chas and family went there to look for him they were told he’d been thrown out for hitting Sandra.
In 2012 the storyline said he left the Dales to go to France but returned in 2014 to help his best friend Adam. He had become involved in a robbery with (Ross Barton) Michael Parr) and Donna Windsor (Verity Rushworth)
Aaron started up a chop shop with Ross and this is when he gets to meet Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley)
Once Robert (who was engaged to Chrissie White) finds out Aaron is gay he calls him up and claims his car has broken down in a plan to get him on his own.
Once there they end up passionately kissing and down the line becoming embroiled in an affair. This is the beginning of the relationship better known as ‘Robron’
Just before Christmas though Aaron put a stop to the relationship as he decided to move on with Dr Alex.
Robert tried to turn it around as though he made the decision for it to happen and said:
“I love you, I care about you, I care about you more than I care about myself and that’s a lot.
“But that’s why I need to do this, step aside and let you go. Give you and Alex a fresh start.”
Aaron wasn’t happy with this though responding with:
“No, Robert you don’t get to decide for me,” he said.
“I’m in control of my own life, I make my own decisions, and that’s why I’ve decided, me, not you, that I need to be with Alex.
“And if not with him, at some point, then at least not with you.”
It was very emotional scenes and fans were in tears at what they were seeing at the time.
One tweeted: “I’m sorry but Robert and Aaron belong together.”
A second commented: “I’m crying at Aaron choosing Alex over Robert.”
Another said: “I genuinely thought Aaron was going to choose Robert.”
