They may be one of the most famous and richest couples on the planet, but that doesn’t mean the Beckhams have had an easy ride when it comes to their marriage. According to recent reports, Victoria is absolutely ‘furious’ by a serious decision that David has made which could have severe impacts on the future of their family.
The celebrity couple are apparently in the midst of a feud, due to the fact that David is planning on spending less time with his wife and children for one crucial reason.
Victoria is said to be ‘seething’ by David’s ‘selfishness’ and ‘devastated’ that their marriage could be on the rocks as a result- but not down to personal reasons.
David is set to move to Miami in the USA to set up his very own football team.
A source in contact with Posh and Becks told The Sun: “She [Victoria] is seething, devastated and furious. Having to spend so much time away from the family will put a real strain on things.”
The move will mean that the family will be split up, but for just how long is not yet known. Three of their children, Romeo aged 15, Cruz aged 12 and Harper aged six will stay in London with their mum, while their father jets off to the States to start his new career.
However, the family break-up won’t be easy on Posh Spice either, who has her own work projects to consider in New York. It’s not the first time she’s been annoyed with David’s career moves though, as she was reportedly furious when he previously signed up to join Real Madrid. Luckily, the couple battled through and fans are hoping for the same outcome this time around.
The source also added: “It was the worst time for their marriage. She feels like he’s made another selfish decision to put his career first.”
Despite Victoria’s anger towards her husband’s decision, David stated during an interview: Whenever they can, they’ll be coming over.”
At a conference, the footballer said: “I want to thank my family. Brooklyn and my wife Victoria, who is at home with the other kids. They’ve been through the good times and the bad times and I owe them everything.”
The ceremony was also one of emotion for David, as a video clip was played showing Victoria and their daughter Harper sending on their good wishes to him for the new venture.
“We can’t wait to be spending much more time in Miami.” Victoria chirpily said to the camera.
While six-year-old Harper also added: “Hi daddy, I can’t wait to see your first football match!”
David stated that it’s been an ambition he’s had for a long period of time with the MFL Franchise taking almost four years to kickstart. It’s also had a large investment of £18 million thrown at it in order to get things up and running.
In an interview with a radio station in Miami named Local 10, David said: “It has been a process. It’s been painful at times.I think the fact that it has taken this long, the fact that it’s taken four years actually has worked as a positive.I’ve always believed in the project. That’s why, for me, I never gave up. I knew Miami was the city. I knew this was going to be special.
“There have been many (hurdles). I’m a persistent person and I don’t like to lose.”
Meanwhile, the pair recently stated that due to parenting four children, they are now ‘watching the pennies’ when it comes to spoiling one another.
Let’s just say they’re not exactly short of a bit of cash though, as the pair are estimated to be worth around £337 million jointly – not a bad sum of money to own.
In a recent interview with ES Magazine, David admitted that the couple’s lifestyle has completely changed since having a family: “We used to be very extravagant in what we’d buy each other.” he said in regards to purchasing gifts for his wife.
“But we’re obviously saving the pennies now because we have so many children to be extravagant.”
It’s not an easy statement to take in though, as it was revealed at the end of last year that Victoria is known to really splash out when it comes to her wine selection.
Just before Christmas, it was reported the WAG spent a whopping £2500 on one bottle alone, named ‘Screaming Eagle’; a Californian special originating from Napa Valley.
Apparently, Victoria and David had bought a number of bottles for a chilled-out midweek evening, rather than a special occasion as one may expect.
Fans who tuned into watch Victoria and best friend Eva Longoria during an interview on This Morning a few months prior would have been well aware of Posh’s strong feelings towards wine as she slammed her pal for admitting she would spend her last £10 on a bottle of fizz.
The 43 year-old hit back: “Wine for a tenner?? I don’t think you’d like it.”
So it seems Becks will never be jumping at the chance to purchase a bottle of wine if it’s priced at a reasonable £9.99, as perhaps many of us would.
Victoria also went on to say that her relationship with Eva is probably down to their shared love of wine: We love to talk about wine. Maybe that’s why we get on so well.”
“We’re both alcoholic art-lovers,” Eva joked.
During the interview, Alison Hammond also questioned Victoria on whether a Spice Girls reunion would ever be on the cards.
“It’s not happening” she confessed. “At some point you have got to know its time to say, ‘that was great…[but] Girl Power will always be there. What I do now is still Girl Power but it’s about empowering women through fashion. I won’t be stepping into a PVC cat suit anytime soon.”
So it seems the answer is a ‘no’ for now, but let’s hope it’s not a ruled-out possibility for the future.
A source recently told The Sun that the girl group would be reuniting for a final time next year, however, these rumours have since been disregarded as just gossip. The source initially stated: “The five of them have been locked in secret talks since the summer, and finally they are all on-board for a 2018 reunion.” This misinformed tipster further asserted, “Getting Victoria to agree has been a coup for everyone involved, given she has always been the person holding back on a reunion.”
