It’s been six years since viewers waved goodbye to actress Kylie Babbington who played the role of Jodie Gold in Eastenders between 2010-2011. You may remember beautician Jodie’s, blonde bouncing curls and girly pink outfits, however, Kylie’s looking completely unrecognisable these days.
Since leaving the soap, Kylie is sporting a much more sophisticated style and has even chosen the dark side – opting for a sleek brunette hair-do.
The 29 year-old got married last week and wore a stunning slim dress, with a simple bun – a complete contrast to Jodie’s blingy dress she wore when she was about to tie the knot with Darren Miller in the soap. – however, as usual in soapland, the wedding didn’t go to plan as Darren stood her up at the altar.
Kylie also sported a simple veil with red nails and red lipstick to accompany the gown, finished effortlessly with a pair of diamond earrings.
Her fans were first to congratulate the new bride on her big day via social media as one wrote: Kylie you look so beautiful! Congratulations on your marriage.”
Whilst another added: “You look fabulous, utterly gorgeous! Congratulations.”
The couple had their reception at a pub after the ceremony.
Even her groom, tattoo artist Jimi Linch was overcome with emotion and shared a photo of the pair on their big day on his Instagram with the caption: “What an amazing night when I got to make @lababbette my smoking hot wife and party with all my favourite people in the world.”
“Happiest day of my life and massive love to all the family and friends that came to celebrate.
“Thanks to those @mesmeristbar and @kitgumkitchen and the mint DJ Jumeau for all your hard work too you guys rocked it!”
Deciding to take a step back from acting, Kylie has decided to form a comedy duo with her best friend Jesscia Boshier, named ‘Babs and Bosh’.
