Demi Miller arrived on Albert Square back in 2004 at the age of 13 – pregnant and the centre of gossip. It wasn’t long before the troubled teen would be the focal point of rows and fights and even got involved with drug dealing.
Shana Swash who played the role of Demi Miller and the actress is the real-life sister of fellow actor and presenter Joe Swash who played the role of Mickey Miller in the soap. The pair were cast as on-screen siblings in the soap.
However, Shana was axed by producer Kate Harwood back in 2006 and the entire Miller family left Walford for a new beginning.
However, Shana also went on to start a new job – as a barmaid. and not in the Queen Vic as you may expect.
A fan spotted her at a London pub pulling pints and taking the bins out before stopping for a fag break, so it seems the former actress isn’t living the life of glamourous actress after all.
Despite this, Shana has continued to gain small acting roles. She had a credit in the BBC Sitcom After You’ve Gone and took part in Children in Need as a hairdresser in Celebrity Scissor Hands in 2008.
She has also made a few theatre appearances, playing the role of Princess Jasmine in Aladdin and performed in the UK production of Proud at the Above the Stag Theatre.
Shana wowed fans back in 2016 when she posted a black and white snap onto Instagram whilst attending the National Film Awards.

Shana’s brother Joe is very much still in the spotlight. After leaving the soap in 2006, he decided to face his fears by taking part in ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here two years later – winning the title of king of the jungle.
The following year, he became a presenter of the spin-off show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here NOW!
He is currently in a relationship with former X Factor contestant current Loose Women panelist, Stacy Soloman.
