The tension has been building over the last couple of weeks as to who will be making their way to Australia to star in this year’s I’m A Celeb! GOOD NEWS! We can now announce the celebs that will be in the final line-up – and we’d love to know what you think!
Jack Maynard was recently spotted getting papped at the airport, with rumours that he would be entering the jungle for the upcoming series. The 22-year-old is a Youtuber and the brother of pop star Conor Maynard.
Also a presenter and DJ, Conor’s biggest career achievement was hitting 1.2 million subscribers on his channel.
Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine is set to go down-under. Known for her role as Fiz Brown in the legendary soap, fans are desperate to know what the red-haired 33-year-old is really like whilst stepping out of her character role.
A source told The Sun: “Jennie’s been on the wishlist for some time and, after a lot of persuasion, she’s agreed to take part this year. Corrie have given it the green light because they’ve been able to reschedule her story-line filming — so everything has finally fallen into place. She’s bubbly and great fun, so they hope she’ll be a great addition. The producers are over the moon to get her.
Made In Chelsea star Georgia Toffolo is another confirmed star within this year’s line-up. The 22 year-old blonde bombshell is reported to have landed in Australia, after ITV bosses were said to have been desperate to secure her for the series following her success on Celebs Go Dating.
Talking to The Sun about whether she’s set to wear lots of bikinis, she simply responded with: “I’ve packed a lot.”
How will she cope eating kangaroo testicles and widgety grubs after her experiences dining in some of London’s top restaurants? Let’s wait and see…
Fans have been left gobsmacked that Amir Khan has been signed up to the show after he told the press that he would never join the show due to his religion.
Yet, the champion boxer has had a nightmare of a year, after reports claim he’s fallen out with his wife who also happens to be pregnant ( but are now back together) – so the jungle may be able to give him a much-needed break away from it all.
ITV bosses have been seeking to sign-up Amir for years according to a source but have finally secured the deal in 2017. Talking to The Sun, the source claimed: “It’s been touch and go for a while, but now that he’s in Australia they’re confident he’ll end up in the camp – even though it isn’t yet signed and sealed.
“ITV have been trying to get him to do the show for years so this is a real coup for them. They think he’ll make great TV.”
The ex-Saturday’s popstar was one of the very first confirmed celebrities to be confirmed for this series. The 28-year-old seems to be getting back in the limelight after breaking up with her boyfriend Gary Salter.
We may be getting a little bit of entertainment out of Vanessa during the series as she has already admitted she’s terrified of creepy crawlies.
Talking to The Mirror, she said: ” I am really excited to be here, it is my first time in Australia, I can’t wait to take part. I am scared of everything though, so I am also a bit nervous. It’s a bit of a mixture of nerves and excitement.”
Former Chelsea captain Dennis Wise was another celebrity papped at Brisbane airport just two days ago. The 50-year-old appeared looking cool and casual wearing trackies and a hoodie before making his way to the camp.
WAG Rebekah Vardy is also another definite campmate signed up to this year’s series. Wife of Leicester City player Jamie Vardy, she’s been hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent years. The 35-year-old has been severely trolled online by haters who sent her sexually explicit messages about her two year-old daughter Sophia and also revealed how she had been sexually abused in her teens.
During an interview with Loose Women about her awful experience, Rebekah revealed: “It was someone quite close to me but not a member of my family. I had conversations with numerous members of my family about it but they persuaded not to take it any further,”
“They said it would not be beneficial to report it. I didn’t tell anyone outside the family about it.”
ITV bosses feared she would pull out of the show after she claimed she was scared of missing her children, however, it’s been said that they will be jumping on the next plane out to Australia as soon she leaves the show.
After recently leaving the Channel 4 soap, Hollyoaks, Jamie Lomas is seeking a new way to boost his career and has decided the jungle will be a great place to start. Appearing as a villainous character in the soap, fans are keen to know whether he will live up to his character and become the baddie of the camp…but we doubt that very much.
An insider source reported to The Sun: “Jamie is a good-looking single guy so they are hoping sparks will fly with one of the single girls in the camp. There will be plenty of gorgeous girls in there he could end up hitting it off with.
“And the bosses know viewers love a jungle romance. Jamie is a really down-to-earth, funny bloke but also doesn’t suffer fools. So they think he’s a great signing.”
Boris Johnson’s dad Stanley is set to be one of the oldies joining the camp – I know, we can’t believe it either. The father of six was spotted flying into Brisbane airport within the last few days and claims to be ‘excited’ to be included in the line-up.
Let’s just say that both the campmates and viewers at home will be hearing lots of political discussions over the next few weeks which may not end well.
